THRIFTCRAFT + YOUR ASSISTANT

Ask your assistant.
Keep what you learn.

Research a curious find with Muse, ChatGPT or Claude. Save the answer and its sources in Thriftcraft, then find them again when you need them.

A MUSE WORKFLOW TO TRY

From a question to a find you can remember.

An illustrative conversation using a sample blue vase. The assistant does the research; the connection keeps the evidence in your collection.

  1. 01

    Look a little closer

“Help me research this blue vase. Separate what the photos show from possible identifications. Find sources and tell me what detail photo would help.”

Share the photos in Muse. Review the evidence and uncertainty before deciding what to keep.

  2. 02

    Give the answer a home

“Save this full answer and its sources to my Thriftcraft Research Inbox as ‘Blue vase — Saturday market’. Keep the uncertainty. Show me the saved link.”

The original answer, a summary and source links stay together. Check the returned Thriftcraft link to confirm the save.

  3. 03

    Pick up the thread

“Find my saved research about the blue vase. What did we establish, and what do I still need to check?”

Ask the connected assistant to read the saved record. When you want a find, ask it to create a Considering find from that research, or attach it to the existing find you choose.

New photos are not automatically transferred from the assistant. Add them through the saved Thriftcraft link. This example is a walkthrough, not a live conversation or a claim that the vase has been identified.

TRIED IN MUSE · OCTOBER 18, 2026

A saved thread, picked up again.

In a real Muse conversation using synthetic sample data, we asked it to find an earlier wooden-stool note, read the original research and its linked Considering find, and check the save receipt. Muse completed those steps through the connected collection.

The note still said what mattered: the maker was unknown and the joinery needed checking. Recalling it did not turn a suggestion into a fact or a valuation.

This was a read-only recall test of records saved earlier. It did not research a new stool, create a new find, or change the collection.

The separate captioned recording uses a test client and sample account to demonstrate sign-in, saving, linking and disconnecting; it is not a Muse recording.

Bring your own assistant.

Start in Research Library → Connected apps. Use the registered connection for your assistant, sign in, choose your household, and select read-only or read-and-save access.

Muse

Ask Muse to help connect Thriftcraft using the endpoint below. Complete the OAuth sign-in and household choice, then try the blue-vase workflow above.

If the client needs registration, use the settings provided in Connected apps or ask Thriftcraft support. An enabled connection is required before Muse can read or save.

ChatGPT

Where your account permits custom servers, open Plugins, choose Add custom MCP server, and enter the endpoint below. Configure the registered OAuth connection and complete sign-in.

Install and select the resulting plugin in your conversation. Available read and save actions depend on your plan and workspace permissions.

Claude

Open your Connectors settings and add a custom remote connector using the endpoint below. Use the registered OAuth client supplied for Thriftcraft, then connect and enable it for your conversation.

In managed workspaces, an owner may need to add the connector first.

Custom connections depend on account permissions and enabled clients. These instructions do not imply that Thriftcraft is listed in a public app directory. If setup is unavailable, ask for connection help.

Your research. Your say.

Ask the assistant to search your saved finds and research, read an original answer, save a new answer, or attach it to a find. Creating a find is a separate request.

Saved suggestions do not replace accepted item details. You can disconnect an assistant in Connected apps; saved answers remain in your household.

What stays in your hands

The connector does not bid, buy, message sellers, schedule pickups, or continuously monitor listings. It does not automatically inspect your rooms or match furniture to saved space measurements.

An assistant may use its own browsing tools to research public pages. That is separate from Thriftcraft’s connection, and access to a listing is not guaranteed.
